Information	Martin Martinsson Architecture, in collaboration with Erik Lönnerholm from Tengman Stad, has designed this urban plan for Rydebäcks Stationsstad in Helsingborg, southern Sweden. This project transforms one of the last untouched areas along the Malmö-Helsingborg railway into a vibrant and sustainable community. Nestled next to the existing train station, Rydebäck will blend modern living with urban farming. The area is designed as a distorted grid plan with a main axis connecting the train station with a new public square. To promote biodiversity, and manage storm water, the terrain has been carefully modelled to include two new streams with surrounding parks, linking the new central park to existing green spaces. Our green spaces are more than just beautiful—they’re designed to house a variety of urban farming initiatives! From community gardens to rooftop farms, these areas will support local food production, foster community engagement, and promote sustainability. The masterplan is designed according to "low rise, high density" principles, creating a family-friendly environment with more housing units than conventional suburban planning. This design will promote a close-knit community which will enhance social and economic life in the area

Masterplan Östra Rydebäck Helsingborg.

The design proposal is based on a grid structure. The planned park in the northeast is connected to the surrounding green areas with corridors. The northern part of the area is planned with a loop street structure where the blocks follow the form of the noise levels below 55dBA.
