Extension of a single family residential building. The existing house is only about ten years old. Due to changes of the living situation of the client, and due to the need of a larger kitchen/ living room, an extension of the house was necessary.
A simple reorganization of the living spaces on the ground floor, together with a pragmatic addition of boxes with functions, created this quite unusual form. A new private terrace for gardening and sunbathing was added above a new living room. A new box with sleeping facilities was added on the first floor  above the existing garage. 
To create more privacy, the facade of the living room was tilted towards the private side of the garden, slightly shielding the windows away from the street.
